Is what we are talking about a lost cause? I mean I know I still stand up for it every day and so do most of my peers but is modesty a lost cause here and now. Its interesting because really it isn't a lost cause because at one point there were guidelines out there in the media and magazines and such that were acceptable right? So what is it we have lost? Was it just our sense of modesty? Was it our sense of pride? Or did we lose a sense of dignity? As a people these questions are around us every day I realize its not something that most men struggle with as many times a day as women do but its still ever present. So what do you think, whats going on inside your head?

Are Clothes the Only Problem?

Looking at the site and the past posts I realized that we're not looking at the whole picture. Lack of clothes is not the only issue, it has to do with the intentions of the person and what is in their heart. One of the readers posted this link for a very helpful website last week you should check it out I found it to be very full of information. http://www.therebelution.com/modestysurvey/
That information answers a lot of the questions brought up in the past post with real information from real people. But we shouldn't only be worried about the clothes its the way we as women view ourselves and what our intentions are. Do you want a guy who loves you for your mind or likes you for your figure? What do you think? Is flirting wrong? Does it depend on the intentions of the flirting? How does that work, think of it also in the perspective of the guys and the way they would interpret it. Another thought that was brought up to me was "what if the guy is a Christian it shouldn't matter what I'm wearing, he should be able to control himself" I disagree I think its our job as women to take care of our guys and not put them in that situation, but I want to know what you think...

lets get this started

I was hanging out in my dorm a few weeks ago after we finished a movie with a few of my guy friends and they were commenting on the clothes (or lack there of) that the female lead was wearing in the movie. I was shocked to see that they actually cared about things like that or even paid attention to it. I never thought about the clothes I pick out to wear in the morning affecting the people around me. I then started to do a little research and just looking around at what girls on campus wear and asking my guy friends what they thought. I want to know what you guys think about this, whether it is a problem or not. Even where we should draw the line on what kinds of clothes are inappropriate, in the Christian world or even in the secular world. Is it OK to wear strapless tops? shorts? how about pants? What kinds of precautions should we take to protect our brothers in Christ, and if you don't claim that faith your guy friends or even your brothers?
